Where would we be without our friends?
Friends old and new have blessed my life. I talked about re-discovering some of my old high school friends and how we have shared laughter and some tears.
Friends listen, support, dry your tears, hold your hand, cheer you on, try to talk you out of getting that haircut, and help you fix it after you go and do it anyway.
Friends remember your birthday with a party, or celebrate quietly if you want to forget all about it.
Sometimes friendships fade; perhaps shared interests have changed. We lose touch because we've moved on to another stage of life, but
some friendships survive all of life's changes and endure.
And if you are very blessed, you find your closest friend(s), your soul friend- your anamcara. The keeper of your secrets, the one who shares the other half of your soul.
"A real friend is one who walks in when the rest of the world walks out."
Thanks to all my friends- the friends from long ago, the friends that have faded away, the friends who have stuck by me through this transition, new friends, and friends yet to be discovered.
