Let me first start off by saying - shoot! I had a wonderful idea for today's post just after I went bed last night and now I don't remember!
Ok, another new start- keep paper and pen by my bedside for recording ideas and dreams.
Speaking of dreams, I found a little time today between laundry and kid's demands to daydream a bit. When is the last time you allowed your mind to wander off into a daydream?
Daydreams are wonderful things. As a kid I daydreamed a lot. I was a pioneer in a covered wagon, a famous singer, a painter or a writer. These dreams fueled me, they pushed me to go to college. The imagination is a fertile ground for planting the seeds for a renewed life.
My thoughts and dreams were pretty gray the last few years with unemployment and other personal setbacks. I have missed the technicolor world of the limitless possibilities that run through my head.
So I've decided to make time for a little daydreaming everyday. I will imagine my trip upcoming trip to Cincinnati in the Spring to see my son graduate. I would like to plan a trip back to the mountains to spend some time hiking and walking the trails. I want to visit Charleston again, and add Savannah to the list. Then I would like to go farther for longer as the kids grow up and we have more time alone. I love imagining all the laughter my husband and I will share, and the fun we will have.
Have you daydreamed today?
