Today I put aside the worry and anxiety and:
Listened to my daughter tell me about her
own worries and disappointments,
Gave my son a big hug,
Ate each bite of dinner with pleasure and mindfulness,
Sat outside on the porch and enjoyed the beauty of the evening,
Talked and laughed with my kids,
Gave the cat some loving,
Took the kids for ice cream,
Held my husband tight,
Went to bed with a full, and thankful heart for my amazing life.
