Yesterday's contemplation turned outward in the form of peace making today. This morning's intention was to bring peace to those who had been feeling upset or fearful.
I was able to tell someone who was skewered at a meeting earlier this week, (she was not present), that she is doing a terrific job. I told her how much I appreciated her efforts to bring order to our chaos; her ability to stand strong and have our backs when we are faced with hostile clients.
As I spoke the words that had been on my heart and mind since Monday, tears filled her eyes and she thanked me for giving her the very thing she needed to hear that morning. I walked away filled with the light hearted glow that comes from speaking a truth.
Later, I was able to take someone's negative energy and fear and put some hope and a positive spin on her worries.
We need to hear truth spoken with conviction from the heart. We need to be peacemakers in a world that is running on fear.
"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God."~ Matthew 5:9
