This post today is dedicated to my husband. Today is his birthday and I am reflecting on how I have measured our year together:
How do I measure a year?
In morning cups of coffee laughing at the funnies; your kiss goodbye and wave from the door as I drive away.
In the texts you sent me all day, and the walks in the evening around the neighborhood.
The late night pillow talk, and the evenings at our favorite gastro pub.
The Mad Men marathons, and holding hands at the movies. The shared jokes, and tears.
The good times, and the tough ones, too.
How do I measure a year? In all those little moments of love.
Here's to the next five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes.
